Vedic astrology is based on the Ancient system of Hindu Astrology. Its historic name is Jyotish, which translates to ‘Science of Light’. Modern practice of Vedic astrology is still taking place in India and other countries in the Eastern Hemisphere. This system works through a secular lens, due to its plain timing-based accuracy. For some, it takes a reading to see and believe this.

Vedic astrology is here as a roadmap of objective and aligned information about your life’s progression that will help you live with greater ease and make aligned decisions according to your free will.
My sessions are based on the teachings of renowned Eastern & Western astrologers. They are careful, holistic and intended as a vessel to connect deeply with nature’s time-based guidance system.
The system of astrology, which most are familiar with, is known as tropical or Western astrology. It does not reflect where planets and stars are actually placed, astronomically speaking. This is why it is mainly used for psychological and ego or personality-based understanding.
Vedic vs. Western astrology?
The first thing you need to know is:
The type of astrology you’re likely familiar with is called Western or tropical astrology. Most people are not aware that the signs in your tropical (Western) birth chart (the one you’re probably familiar with) do not reflect where the planets and stars literally appeared in the sky at the moment of your birth. The delineations of zodiac signs is decided through a system that tracks the movement of the Sun. Your sidereal chart on the other hand, is based on an accurate snapshot of what would have actually appeared had someone looked up at the sky at the moment of your first breath. The astronomically accurate method of chart reading has a lot to offer and is commonly known as Vedic or Eastern astrology. It has been kept alive in modern day India.
An example to illustrate what I mean:
Today, as I’m writing this, it is July 29th 2025. The Moon is in Virgo (the 6th sign). However, if you were to search “what sign was the Moon in on July 29, 2025 ” most search engines, social media platforms or astrology apps, will tell you the Moon was in Libra.
If you were to look up at the sky on July 29th 2025, you would see the following placement for the Moon. As you can see, the Moon clearly appears within the constellation Virgo. Not Libra.
